The handbook entails a training methodology on film-making procedure covering the real fundamentals including the necessary tools and applications, storytelling and how to elaborate on ideas realizing them visually and the training activities to be carried out within its framework. It is structured- and content-wise in a way that youth workers and trainers are able to use it without having to be specialists in film making.
The handbook consists 2 main parts:
a) The theoretical foundation:
- Fundamentals of film making
- Tools and applications
- Basic principles of participatory and digital storytelling
- Enhancement of LIFEComp competences (communication, collaboration, well-being, flexibility, empathy).
- Monitoring procedures and assessment tools
b) Practical Implementation of Film making:- Introduction to filmmaking,
- Basic filmmaking techniques,
- Available tools and apps for filmmaking,
- Creative ways to address environmental issues and elaborate ideas (locate an environmental problem, address to different stakeholders for highlighting possible causes and consequences, present solutions),
- Pre-Production issues (storyboard, projections, scouting of places, costume design, casting calls, script),
- Main production issues (filming, sound recording, photography, light etc.),
- Post-production (video editing, music arrangement, video and audio effects, rendering)
- Distribution (festivals, platforms and social media)
